The City of Corner Brook has received an application to construct a 32’ x 40’ accessory building (with two small bump-outs) on the property located at 59 Carberry’s Road which is located in a Residential Medium Density Zone. A building permit can be issued for this structure with the maximum allowable height being 15 ft., however, it is requested that the maximum height of the accessory building be increased to 16.5 ft. A notice to residents in the area was sent out recently for the applicant to construct a 12’ x 20’ accessory building on the property and the maximum height of that accessory building was requested to be increased to 16.5 ft. There is no intent to build the originally requested structure at this time and should this latest proposal be granted for said variance, any previous variance approvals will be null and void.

The construction of the accessory building with the requested maximum height of 16.5 ft., if approved, would result in a 10% variance to the maximum allowable height of an accessory building for this lot.
