Charles Pender is a father of 2, teacher, community volunteer and a lifelong resident of Corner Brook.
He graduated from Memorial University with a B.A. and a B.ED and he has a Masters in Education from Laval University.
He taught French Immersion in Corner Brook for most of his 30 year career as a high school teacher.
He has served on numerous volunteer boards including the Qalipu Cultural Foundation, the Western Health Authority, the VON, the Corner Brook Board of Trade, and the United Way, among others.
He was first elected to council in 1997 and is currently serving his third term as a City Councillor after having served two terms as Mayor of Corner Brook.
