The City of Corner Brook has been advised that a section of the Corner Brook Stream Trail next to Crocker’s Road (commonly known as the Gorge Trail) will be closed until further notice due to the Trans Canada Highway on-ramp construction. This also includes the upper trailhead of the Ginger Route Mountain Bike Trail.
Heavy machinery will be moving around the area, and some of the trail will need to be taken up to accommodate two large diameter watermains and putting a rock in-fill in place to stabilize the ramp.
Signage will be in place to reflect this. The work is expected to be completed mid-July. Thank you for your patience, and proceed with caution when approaching this construction area over the next few weeks.
