The City of Corner Brook is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Charters as its new City Manager, effective July 2024.
Mr. Charters is a professional engineer with a strong educational foundation. He holds a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from NBCC Moncton, New Brunswick, and a Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
Originally from Fredericton, Mr. Charters has twenty five years of experience in the municipal sector, beginning with his tenure at the City of Fredericton, where he held various positions, ranging from the City’s Traffic Engineer to the Manager of Transit and Parking Services.
Following his time with the City of Fredericton, Mr. Charters’ career path brought him to the City of Corner Brook, where he assumed the role of Director of Community, Engineering, Development, and Planning in 2017.
