Pursuant to the powers vested in it by virtue of Section 229 of the City of Corner Brook Act, 1990 and all other enabling powers, the Council of the City of Corner Brook at its Regular Council Meeting of August 19, 2024 issued a notice of motion to adopt and enact the Taxi Regulations 2024, and thereby repeals the City of Corner Brook Taxi Regulations 2018. The Taxi Regulations 2024 includes changes to the definitions and other sections in order to differentiate other services from that of Taxi’s and to accommodate new amendments to the Highway Traffic Act that regulates ride-sharing services.
