In an effort to increase efficiency now that the new Western Memorial Regional Hospital is open, Route 1 will no longer stop at the old hospital location beginning May 12, 2025. Users can still reach this stop by taking Route 2 from Park Street at the beginning of each hour. Anyone who gets on Route 1 after leaving the shelter on Park Street on the half hour can transfer to Route 2 at the bottom of Elizabeth Street or stay on Route 1 and get off at the nearby West Valley Road stop.
This change is being implemented due to decreased ridership in this area since the opening of the new WMRH and helps us to maintain a quicker, more consistent Route 1 circuit.
