Marie Antoinette
March 6, 2019 - March 10, 2019
David Adjmi’s Marie Antoinette is a contemporary take on the (in)famous queen, steeped in celebrity culture, pop music, and the entitled extravagance of the idle rich. Two different actresses tackle the title role, flanked by an incompetent king, a talking sheep, courtiers, nobles, and a number of revolutionaries bent on turning the world upside down. A playful and dark satire that asks whether history has been unduly cruel to its heroine, this production is more than just a bite of cake! Directed by Katharine McLeod, set and costumes by roy Hansen-robitschek and lighting design by Jamie Skidmore. Cast and crew are our own second and third year acting and technical students. Time: 8:00pm – 10:00pm |
